Yomi Peters graduated with honours from the prestige Polytechnic of Ibadan in Fine Arts. Right from a young age, Yomi has always been interested in art and drama. Studying Arts at the Polytechnic in Ibadan was God-ordained as he preferred theatre Arts.
Yomi is an opportunist that takes whatever nature has thrown at him with both hands.
Yomi was a student at the Polytechnic Ibadan. However, he still made his house in the department of Theatre Arts University Ibadan, to pursue his interest in the theatre arts.
He became a household name artist, featuring in numbers of plays and dramas. He later joined an independent theatre practitioner under the tutelage of Professor Oladode Sowande of Odu Theme Meridian in Ibadan.
In Odu theme meridian, he started as a dancer, and later became the group choreographer and worked on plays like
Mammy Waters Wedding, Arede Owo, Monkeys Gold, My Life in the Bush of Ghost and Ajantala Pinnochhio to mentioned just a few.
Some of these plays allowed Yomi to travel outside of Nigeria to Countries like Italy and England to perform
Ajantala Pinocchio & My life in the bush of Ghost by Amos Tutuola adapted by Bode Sowande for African ’95 in which Yomi was a choreographer and a dancer.
He relocated to England after the production to sort green pastures. He later became a member of RCCG House Of Praise, Woolwich through a ministry (Genesis Impact ) outside of the church but using the church as a venue for rehearsals. He was with Genesis impact helping the youth to connect with their African culture and foundation.
Yomi received the call of God as an apostle to nations, through the anointed son of God Prophet Bernard Asare from Ghana. Yomi has never looked back since the call of God. He has been on an apostolic mission to Nigeria, Venezuela, Brazil and India. He is always excited and believing God for more open doors
